Disneyland certainly lives up to its tagline, doesn’t it?\u00a0\u00a0 And yes, I’m sure that some of you are now asking yourselves why, as a fully grown adult, am I such a fan of Disneyland?\u00a0\u00a0 My wife and I don’t have any kids.\u00a0 This place is absolutely swarming with screaming children and exasperated parents.\u00a0\u00a0 Scents from every conceivable form of junk food assail the senses from all directions, from the moment you step foot in the park to the instant you leave.\u00a0 So why, then, is it so appealing to me?\u00a0 The answer to that is simply one word:\u00a0 nostalgia.<\/p>\n

I have visited Disneyland every couple of years or so since I was old enough to walk.\u00a0 And, based on the photos my mother has shown me, even before then.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I count my lucky stars that Giliane is just as much a Disney fan than I am.\u00a0 Walking around the parks (Disneyland & California Adventures) at our leisure, perusing through the plethora of shops, and riding our favorite rides.\u00a0 Over and over, of course.\u00a0 What does this tell you?\u00a0 Yep, you guessed it.\u00a0 You now know what my wife has known ever since she said I do<\/em>:\u00a0 I’m a big kid at heart.<\/p>\n

Several months ago we discovered\/subscribed to a YouTube channel from a group of people that call themselves “Fresh Baked Disney<\/a>“.\u00a0 This guy walks around the park, oftentimes with a friend or two, and documents the rides, the food he eats, the merchandise he sees, and so on.\u00a0 The vast majority of the times he doesn’t have his kid with him, so this is taken from the perspective of an adult who is simply enjoying his experiences at the park.\u00a0 He typically visits the park every Saturday, so did we find them yesterday?<\/p>\n

So, with that said, who out there has been to Disneyland?\u00a0 What are your favorite rides?\u00a0 What are your favorite things to do here?\u00a0 Here’s mine, in no particular order:<\/p>\n

    1. Pirates of the Caribbean<\/li>\n
    2. Soaring over California<\/li>\n
    3. Lunch at Blue Bayou<\/li>\n
    4. New Orleans Square (my favorite “land”)<\/li>\n
    5. Haunted Mansion<\/li>\n
    6. Splash Mountain<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

      I hope you have a fantastic week!\u00a0 Rest assured my wife and I will be.\u00a0 Hmmm, I think another ride is calling my name!\u00a0 Time to see if I can convince\/bribe my wife into riding Grizzly River Run.\u00a0 We can see it from our balcony at the Grand Californian Hotel!\u00a0 You’ve never experienced the parks until you actually stay at a hotel in the MIDDLE of the park.\u00a0 We have our own separate entrance to DCA!\u00a0 How cool is that?\u00a0\u00a0 So, I will bid adieu.\u00a0 We’re off to have some more fun!<\/p>\n
