Creating “The Posse”. Wanna join?

As many of you know, I’m a part of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Marketing Podcast, streamed live every Tuesday evening.  I’ve learned quite a few things from the show and am starting to implement some changes.  One of those regards my beta readers.  And, before you ask, yes, I’m getting close.  🙂

Instead of selecting a number of beta readers, like I normally do, I’m creating a private Facebook group with the sole purpose of gathering some dedicated fans together that are always interested in reading/proofing my books.  Are you interested in joining The Posse?  Would you like to read the stories long before they’re released to the outside world?  Are you willing to leave reviews and share your experience with others?  You know what?  I’ll post a list of what I’m looking for.

Prereqs:

  • Ability to spot typos, grammatical errors, continuity errors, etc.
  • Unafraid to give me critique.
  • Ability to leave reviews on major retailers.
  • Ability to read/review stories in a timely fashion

Are you interested?  Leave a comment here!  I’ll be sending out invites to The Posse as soon as its created!  Thanks for your willingness to help me out!

  • Aloha Mr. Poole,

While recently discovering your wonderful collection of wild tales of Lentari, I quickly devoured all of your excellently exploits, and am patiently awaiting for the wild adventures to continue. While never having acquired professional, or any other type of editing experience, I’ve for the entirety of my life have enjoyed reading, and have actively attempted to escape reality and submerge myself in talented authors, like yourself, ingeniously created, wonderfully literatured, imaginary crafted worlds of wonder. However, I have always had an eye for discovering mostly minor, overlooked, normally grammatical mistakes, and have always wanted a way to help fix those mostly minor errors, or discuss a concept personally percieved, but found to be left lacking or left as an incomple thought, or an unfinished minor tangent to the storyline left incomplete and unexplored. Leaving readers curious and disappointed and unable to attain complete closure, regardless if the story series is intact complete, or left otherwise. I would greatly appreciate the chance to proofread your work and be given the opportunity to correspond with you. I would be honored to assist you with minor editing, to pro-offer input, and even possibly discuss or influence an idea. Whatever I can do to help, I’d be happy too. I’ve personally always admired writers, and greatly respected those who are so vastly talented the can create an imaginary world that strongly impacts the real worlds reality, and has the ability to mark, change, and influence people, simply via the written word, for generations, probably and possibly for longer and more. I would be honored to be a member of the posse and would appreciate the opportunity. Hope to hear from you soon.

A loyal follower of your work,

    J. Kawika K.

Currently re-reading all 8 Bakkian/Lentari books – just started #3 of Lentari Tales. Making sure I leave reviews. Waiting to hear back – thanks so much.
