For those of you who have been wondering whether or not I’ve fallen off the face of the earth, I can safely say that I haven’t. 🙂 Been hard at work wrapping up the final title in the Pirates of Perz trilogy: These are Not the Stones You’re Looking For (PoP #3). And after that? I can tell you I already have the next novel in my cozy mystery series planned out and is currently ready to write: Case of the Highland House Haunting (CCF #7).

After that, I’m going to try my hand at another fantasy novel, but this one will be something brand new, meaning it won’t be set in Lentari. What is it, you may ask? The only thing I’ll tell you is that it will have plenty of dragons, riders, magic, and a helluva lot of humor! With that being said, I’ve been pondering what to name the world, and am open to suggestions. Feel free to leave a comment on this post if you have any ideas you’d like to share. If I end up using your suggestion, or basing a name off of your suggestion, I’ll most assuredly give you credit.

The final novel I’m going to try and squeeze out by the end of the year will happen over NaNoWriMo, and it will be another CCF story. That’ll make #8 in the series. I’ve got several more titles planned out, so it should be ready (fingers crossed!) to be released by the end of the year.

That’s it for now! It’s back to Lentari for me. Those pirates haven’t been having a good time lately, and the final showdown is just around the corner!

Well, that was the longest 2 weeks imaginable. While my wife and I would’ve loved to see what has to be the most hyped movie in recent history the second it was released, we had to wait. Talk about a pain. Everyone wanted to talk about what happened. Trying to avoid spoilers proved difficult, but doable. I’ll hide any spoilers here, in case you haven’t seen the movie yet.

Okay, I usually look for three aspects of a movie when critiquing it: story, f/x, and acting. First up is the story. Personally, I thought they did an absolutely fantastic job. The writers managed to wrap up all 22 previous Marvel movies with one magnificent story, using not-unheard of methods to correct the events of Infinty War. Thanks to the last couple of minutes of Ant Man and the Wasp, we know Scott Lang is stuck in the quantum realm. How’s he going to get back?

So, with a “Fix” now plausible, it’s up to the survivors to pull it off. Do they do so? Yep, but not without some major setbacks.

I figured most of the characters would come back to life if they reversed Thanos’ almighty Snap o’ Death (and those that “dusted” do), but there were some who didn’t. Plus, others did die during the battle.

As I said, I thought the story was fantastic. The special effects? Mind blowing. They must be seen to be believed. That last battle will leave you breathless. As for the acting, I really didn’t have any problems with anyone’s performance, either. Guys, if you’re a fan of the Marvel universe, you gotta see this on the big screen.

Why the A- for the story? Well, that’s because I have a gripe or two. Yep, spoilers follow.

That’s it for me. Avengers – Endgame was a highly satisfying 3 hour movie that deserves to be seen, especially in the theater. Two thumbs way the hell up!

I’m proud to announce Bob Johnson, audio narrator for the first three Corgi Case Files audiobooks has agreed to start work on Case of the Pilfered Pooches (CCF#4). We’re predicting the project should be completed by mid April. Damn, he’s catching up! Which reminds me…

CCF6 is almost done. Should be finished by today or tomorrow. Posse members, are you ready to read?

Next up, it’s high time to wrap up the Pirates of Perz trilogy, and then it’ll be off to the lawless land of Cazel and Doiron’s quest to discover his true heritage. Not sure what I’m talking about? Ask me for a copy of Senthyd. It’s a short story which introduces the rare & unique hybrid creatures just trying to survive. Unless you’re the most rare of all senthyds, like our hero, Doiron. Stay tuned! It’ll be my first ever full-length dark fantasy story!

I’m sorry for not posting more. There’s been a number of huge changes going on with me. Yeah, yeah, I know. No excuses.

But, in no particular order, here’s what I’ve had to deal with.

1. Scrambled to make some (unwilling) repairs to our Havasu house so that we can…
2. Listed the Havasu house for sale.
3. Found a buyer, which precipitated a massive cleaning/dumping/donating trip to Havasu from Phoenix. This was what we did for the week of Thanksgiving.
4. My sweet little corgi, Keeley, crossed the Rainbow Bridge two days after Turkey Day, while we were in Havasu. Was extremely thankful for all the hard work on the house, otherwise losing her would’ve been unbearable.
5. My wife’s grandfather passed away. Had to make an emergency trip to northern CA, while being in no mood to socialize.
6. Had to fit Xmas shopping in.
7. Arranged for a new family member to join our clan.
8. Back to northern CA for Xmas.

I’ll get CCF6 finished shortly. I promise!

I hope everyone had a great summer! As for me, it was a blast, only the weather here in Arizona is still incredibly warm. Summer just doesn’t wanna let go of us.
