Trivia Time!

Now I realize that the answer to this question is easy enough to determine since everyone can just do a search on their e-readers, but I want to challenge the readers to see how many knows this without having to do so.  If you don’t know, that’s ok.  But do me a favor and let me know if you looked it up, ok?  And try not to look at what other people have written!  Let’s test those memory banks, people!!

Anyone who gets the answer is entered into the drawing!  The prize will be a print copy of Something Wyverian This Way Comes (Tales of Lentari #2) when it becomes available.  Unlike the Goodreads Giveaway, this contest is open to any fan regardless where you live.   This contest will end on the last day of February!

Okay, here goes…

Question:  What is Kornal’s jhorun?

If you know the answer then leave a comment here and let me know!  Only people who comment here, with the correct answer, will be entered into the drawing!  Good luck to all who play!

Time to think about a new cover!

I usually start planning out the cover to the book I’m presently working on once I reach a certain point through the book.  I hit it.  It’s time to start thinking about what I want to do for Something Wyverian This Way Come’s cover.  The word “Wyverian” alone dictates that there’s gonna be dragons on the cover.  But what should the setting be?  Flying through the sky?  Down on the ground?  Under it?  I’ve used all locales in the book.

As always, I’m all about keeping the story fun and light-hearted.  The cover needs to properly convey that.  So what sort of whimsical scene should I have the artist draw for me?  What do you guys like to see on a cover?

Short Stories finally on Kindle!

BC - Short Stories

BC – Short Stories

I wanted to make a brief announcement for all those fans who have Kindles.  I’ve finally released the two short stories on Kindle.  Disneyland Debacle and Winter Wonderland are bundled together and is as cheap as I can make it, which is $0.99.   I’m still going through it to make sure the formatting took place properly, so if you notice anything out of the ordinary be sure to let me know!  Here’s the link:  Bakkian Chronicles – Short Stories.  Of course, it’s being released through Smashwords, too, so give it a little bit of time and the major retailers should have it in their stores.

Don’t forget to sign up for your chance to win an autographed copy of Lost World (Tales of Lentari #1)!  The giveaway is going on right now on Goodreads.  The link is on the last post!  Good luck to all who enter!

Happy reading!  Seeing how I have a 2nd writing day this week, I’m off to take advantage of that!  Pryllan and the gang are calling my name!

I have one last update for everyone.  The Bakkian Chronicles short stories collection (yeah, I know – there’s only 2!) should be available on Kindle by the end of the week with a price tag of $0.99.  It’ll contain both Disneyland Debacle and Winter Wonderland.  I’ll also release it through Smashwords so that it’ll show up at all the other main retailers.

That’s it for now!  I hope everyone has a great week!

Dec 19, 2013 - General, News, Updates    Comments Off on Christmas present to the fans!

Christmas present to the fans!

Hello, everyone!

As a way of saying thanks to all you fans out there, I decided to write my second short story and present it here first.  It hasn’t been released on Kindle, or Smashwords, or anywhere else.  Only here.  Give it some time and I’ll bundle the two short stories together and release them everywhere.

This is just for you.  I proudly present Winter Wonderland (Bakkian Chronicles short story #2).  It’s a smidge over 7100+ words and quite unedited.  So if you come across typos, or grammatical errors, don’t hesitate to drop me a line!

So what’s it about?  Well, Mikal and his parents, the king & queen of Lentari, are invited over to the Kingdom of Idaho for a visit!  Can you imagine the king trying his luck on a snowmobile?  Or perhaps seeing the queen step foot into a mall?  Check out the Excerpts page and you’ll see the link!

Merry Christmas to all!  🙂

Who Wants To Name Two Wyverian Characters?

I just posted this on my Facebook page but I’ll also post it here.

Who out there would like to name not one, but two dragons? I’m now accepting suggestions for dragon siblings. Two brothers from one family and two sisters from another. The names can be made to resemble one another, like Don and John, or they could be completely different. I leave it up to the fans!

So whaddya say? Got any suggestions for me? Who knows! It very well may end up in SWtwC!!

Oh, consequently, the winner of the Bakkian Chronicles cap will be announced either later today or tomorrow! Stay tuned! If you haven’t done so already, enter now for a chance to win!

Coolest-trivia-about-your-hometown Contest!

For this next blog contest I thought I’d get to know some more of the fans and see where they live!  So here’s the thing:  based on where you live, what’s the coolest tourist attraction, or most unique thing your hometown is known for?

I’ll give you an example.  I’m in Lake Havasu City, AZ.  My town is known for being the home of the London Bridge.  Coming in at a strong second would be the spring break hotspot that draws in thousands of college kids every year.

Tell me about your town!  What are you known for?  At the end of the month I’ll have my wife pick her favorite and that person becomes the winner!

What’s at stake:  a Bakkian Chronicles cap, as modeled by Peanut on my Facebook page.    Want to enter?  Tell me about your town!

Newest Goodreads Giveaway!

The last Goodreads giveaway I did last month for Lost City had so many people vying for a copy that I thought I’d create another one.  Up for grabs is another copy of Lost City (Tales of Lentari #1), autographed by yours truly.  Would you like to enter but are not sure how to do so?  All you need to do is be a member of Goodreads.com, and if you aren’t already, no problem.  Membership is free.  It’s a place where you can meet up with authors or fellow readers and talk about the books you love, or hate I suppose.  Many authors are willing to chat about their books and answer any questions their fans might ask.

I’m already a member, and quite a few of my friends are, too.  So if you are thinking about joining up now would be the perfect opportunity to do so!  And when you’re ready, here’s the link to Lost City’s giveaway:
