Be Among the First to own Lost City!

Greetings fans of Lentari!  The wait is almost over!

Be among the first to own an autographed, paperback copy of Lost City (Tales of Lentari #1)!  In anticipation of my fourth book’s upcoming release, I’m creating a raffle for one of the first copies to be printed.  Hot off the presses.  🙂

All you have to do to enter is make sure you have Liked the Bakkian Chronicles on Facebook (you can hit the FB button on the top right corner of this page) and then leave a comment to tell me that you were here.   That’s it!  The raffle is open to everyone, regardless of locale, so if you’re in Australia, and would like to try and win a print copy, feel free to enter!

To keep this interesting, if I get at least fifteen people entering, I’ll add a second copy, thereby having two winners of a print copy.  If I get to twenty, I’ll release a sneak peek of the cover!  Help spread the word!

If you haven’t already, check out the book that started it all!  The Prophecy (Bakkian Chronicles #1) on ebook in practically all formats.  Always free!  Links can be found along the right of the blog for various retailers.  This message will also be posted on FB.   Thanks for stopping by!  Happy reading!

And the Beta Readers will be…

Kept private.  Sorry!  The Beta Readers for Lost City (Tales of Lentari #1) have officially been chosen and have been notified (via private message on FB).  I’ve chosen four, along with those that are already on my list.  That brings it to a total of 8 BRs (the most I’ve ever had!).  Want to know the crazy thing?  I had close to twenty five people volunteer.  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.  That blows me away.

So, if I didn’t choose you, please don’t take it personally.  I would let everyone be a BR if I could, but trying to manage that many people and keep things on track would be practically impossible.

For those of you that are now BRs and have confirmed with me that you will be able to be a BR for me, the next thing to do is keep an eye on the blog.  Beta Reader #1 (my wife) has got to go through the book first, from beginning to end.  Once she’s done I’ll convert it to PDF and send everyone a copy.  I’ll also create a password protected thread on my blog where I will give some basic guidelines on what I’m looking for and what to do if you find something (and I know you will!).

Thanks again for everyone’s interest!  It means the world!  Without you guys this story would have remained an unexplored “what if” scenario and would never have made it to print.

Beta Reader Sign-up

I’ve received quite a few requests for people inquiring about being a Beta Reader for my soon-to-be-released novel, Lost City (Tales of Lentari #1).  I will tell you guys that it means the world to me to have so many people asking!  I truly appreciate it!

I usually have three to four Beta Readers, which includes a friend of mine from Ohio who’s been a BR for Insurrection and Amulet of Aria.  So the first spot is taken there.  I also use a good friend of mine, who we’ll call Lia (yes, THAT Lia – based her character off of her).  Now, ordinarily a few other family members also want to be included, which I’ll accomodate, but I don’t include that with the overall count.

But since I’ve had so many people ask, I’ll tell you all that I’ll be picking three others from my list of potentials. The more eyes the merrier, right?   So if you’re interested, and you haven’t already indicated your interest in being a BR for me, do so now.  I’ll be making my selections here very soon.  I’m getting really close to finishing!  As before, with Amulet of Aria, I’ll put up the progress indicator that let’s everyone know where I stand with the book being released.

Thanks for all of your interest, everyone!  I so appreciate it!

I Love Wednesdays!

Ye olde notebook is open, displaying thoughts on all aspects of Lentari…  Beads of condensation are seen dripping down a frosty can of Pepsi Max…  A glass jar containing on a few colorful gumballs is sitting on apreviously printed chapter…

The cell phone is off and the corgi is asleep in her chair.  I do believe we’re ready!!   It’s off to Lentari for a solid day of writing!  As I did last year in preparation of Amulet of Aria’s release, every Wednesday I’ll give away 5 ebooks of one of my titles.

Up for grabs this week are five (5) copies of Insurrection (Bakkian Chronicles #2).  Since Prophecy (Bakkian Chronicles #1) is always free of charge, that’s two books you’d be able to read for free!  So hop over to the blog and leave a comment to let me know you were there and if you provide me an email addy, I’ll email you the coupon (and the link) for a complimentary copy of Insurrection!

Good luck & happy reading!

A few more suggestions, please!

Hi everyone!  First off, TGIF!  Secondly, as I’m getting close to wrapping Lost City up, I could use a few more names.  Dwarf names.  Maybe even a surname or a family name.  Any suggestions?

Now’s your chance to wind up in a book’s acknowledgement page.  Want to see your name in print?  Post your suggestions below!

Thanks!  Have a great weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Hello, everyone!  It’s already the start of summer.  Wow.  This year is totally flying.  To quote my wife from just a few days ago, whomever is in control of the time needs to get their finger off the fast-forward button.

My snowbird clients are roosting in other states while the rest of us bake our brains out.  Its due to get over 100 today, and it ain’t gonna cool off anytime soon.  Yep, our “winter” has arrived.  It’s the time of year in which the locals here just don’t venture outside.  To all of those visitors that flock to our fair city towing HUGE boats with tricked out trucks, bless you.  You bring all kinds of $$$ into the city.  Not that I typically see anything from it.  Not many thrill seekers bring their computers with them, so the only enjoyment I get out of it is reading about their shenanigans in the paper.  Oh, yes!  You do something stupid and get arrested here in Havasu your name will show up in the paper.  Plus, it makes for some entertaining calls over the police scanner.

Wow, do I need to find more hobbies…

But I digress.  Lentari is calling, and I’m already past the original deadline I gave myself to get this book done.  So it’s time to buckle down!!!  Everyone ready to read about Lentari’s fabled Lost City?  I’m bustin’ tail right now to get it finished!
